Our testimony
I was born in a home that highly appreciated music and languages, especially English. Spanish is our native language and we only spoke in Spanish at home and at school. But my ears learned the first English sounds and words from my early childhood only by listening to good Christian music in English, and now, after all those years of loving and learning (including reading the Bible in several languages, using Dictionaries to understand lyrics and talking to some English–speaking friends), and without any formal study, I am able to homeschool my children because I can work from home as a freelance translator (English/French to Spanish) and communicate in English at ease (reading and writing, speaking and listening). My husband and I also were able to learn French (with almost no training before arriving to France) by reading the Scriptures and singing choruses at church in French. Now I see my own children learning languages without any effort by listening and singing, and memorizing and understanding God’s Word through the music we sing at home just for the love of doing it!
